This is one of my first attempts at a minifig scale "sixby" vehicle. My twin boys and I spent a good part of Father's Day morning building it and scouring around for just the right parts. It started as an attempt at a HumVee, but ended up as a pretty decent Unlimited Class Baja Truck. I don't really like the idea of racing around the desert in hugely expensive vehicles at unreasonable speeds, but this truck would make the job easy.

It is based on a standard vehicle chassis, and uses the large travel spring suspension sets found in the Outback vehicles. The windshield and front hood are space shuttle parts.

One of the neat features of this vehicle is a small V4 motor in the front. By lifting the front hood, repairs are easy to perform on this high-performance vehicle.

This is one mean truck, able to go places the Outback vehicles only dream of...
